Our network is growing once again! We are excited to welcome TransfoLAB BCN (Center for Trash Investigation) to the ECA community. Based in Barcelona, they bring a vital, hands-on approach to the circular economy, turning waste into a valuable resource for makers, designers, and artists. Their work in education and building a culture of sustainability adds another strong voice to our international network.
TransfoLAB BCN (Center for Trash Investigation), established in 2015, is a physical space for Barcelona’s creative ecosystem focused on waste, the circular economy, and environmental sustainability. Its primary mission is to foster design and innovation by connecting a diverse community of makers, designers, artists, and students with the general public, an effort which helps create job opportunities and promotes local commerce. The organization offers resources and project support throughout the entire lifecycle, from conception and manufacturing to promotion. Furthermore, TransfoLAB BCN is dedicated to public education and awareness, building a network of creators and researchers to strengthen the culture of sustainability and create future collaborations.
