RESKILLING CRAFTS
The European Crafts Alliance is part of an Erasmus+ project partnership alongside 8 other organisations, 3 of which are members of the ECA network (Artex, The Cyprus Handicraft Service and Mad’in Europe).
RESKILLING CRAFTS is an innovative 36-month Erasmus+ project that brings together nine partners from Spain, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Turkey, and Cyprus to co-design and implement an inclusive model of Reskilling Labs—empowering the craft sector to thrive in the digital and green economy.
The project brings together nine partners across Europe: FOACAL (Spain), INFODEF (Belgium), the European Crafts Alliance (ECA), Mad’in Europe, F.R.I. (Italy), ARTEX (Italy), INQS (Ireland), GOI (Turkey), and CHS (Cyprus). This diverse consortium combines deep expertise in crafts, education, innovation, regional development and communication. Their complementary strengths create a powerful synergy that supports the project’s mission to preserve cultural heritage while driving inclusive reskilling and sustainable growth. United by a shared vision, these partners are set to transform the European craft sector, helping artisans adapt and thrive in the evolving digital and green economy.
This ambitious project aims to spark real transformation in the craft sector by:
- Modernising training pathways
- Promoting digital and sustainable skills
- Creating new opportunities for innovation, employment, and growth
RESKILLING CRAFTS supports craftspeople and professionals in adapting to evolving markets, technologies, and societal needs—while safeguarding the cultural heritage of traditional crafts.
RESKILLING CRAFTS aspires to engage a broad audience, including:
- Craftspeople and transitioning workers
- VET providers and SMEs
- Local authorities and policymakers
By showcasing tangible results and reshaping the narrative around adult reskilling, the project will help establish the European Craft Sector Reskilling Alliance and contribute to a sustainable Blueprint for Reskilling Labs across Europe.
