ACAB / Arts & Craft Association Bornholm
The island of Bornholm is renowned for its high concentration of skilled craft artists. They are instrumental in bringing an identity to an area devoted to quality and aesthetics, where artists are inspired and feel free to pursue their craft, whilst nurturing a strong sense of artistic community. Since 2002, Bornholm’s best professional craftspeople have joined together in an association for applied arts. ACAB is a quality-censored association which requires that each craftsperson be judged by an external committee before she or he is accepted as a member.

Arts Council Azerbaijan
Arts Council Azerbaijan is a non-governmental organisation, established in 2006. Its main mission is to promote culture and art, as well as to create an environment and infrastructure for the development of creative industries. As a member of the International Council of Arts Network that is active in various countries around the world, Arts Council Azerbaijan is committed to advancing and promoting Azerbaijani creativity, art and culture and works closely with government agencies, diplomatic missions and the media to lead numerous social initiatives and public projects, Arts Council Azerbaijan offers full promotion of the most exciting local events. Asociación para la Creación Textil
The Asociación para la Creación Textil (ACT) is the national successor to the association founded in 1988, created to promote textile craftsmanship and an ecosystem for the professional growth of its members. ACT spreads the values of textile culture – heritage, creation, and knowledge transfer—through various activities. Conceiving of craft as interwoven with society, ACT collaborates widely to integrate it into the post-digital world, valuing the preservation of ancestral knowledge, the rich meanings of textile objects, and the work of the anonymous women who preserved these techniques. ADXTUR- Agência Desenvolvimento Turístico das Aldeias do Xisto
ADXTUR brings together the public and private expectations of the Portuguese region, which are reflected in the shared management of a brand, the joint promotion of a territory, the creation of wealth through the provision of tourist services and, finally, the preservation of culture and heritage of the rural environment.

AiCC – Italian Association of Ceramic Cities
The Italian Association of Ceramic Cities (AiCC) is a non-profit association composed by 45 member municipalities, each recognised as having an “ancient and established ceramic tradition”. AiCC’s principal aim is to protect and support artistic and artisan ceramics by promoting collaboration between its members and carrying out numerous projects in the institutional, promotional, marketing and networking fields. Over the years AiCC has also promoted the creation of other European associations of Ceramic Cities. AiCC presents itself as an effective entity, confirming its institutional role as a coordinator of realities of different needs and geographical location, united by a strong ceramic identity.

Artex- Centre for Artistic & Traditional Handicrafts in Tuscany
Artex is the Centre for Artistic and Traditional Craftsmanship in Tuscany and promotes the innovation and development of artistic and traditional handicrafts. Artex was created in 1987 by the CNA and Confartigianato crafts associations. Over the years it has developed and managed projects for the improvement of crafts enterprises and their production, gaining a unique experience in this sector.

Bundesverband Kunsthandwerk Deutschland (BK)
The German Crafts Association (BK) is the unaffiliated, nonpartisan umbrella organization for professional craftspersons in Germany. Its main objective is representing its members’ interests in the economic and cultural promotion of contemporary arts and crafts. BK currently includes craftspersons, designers and free-lance artists as members. Membership admission is determined by the selection committee and is based on the quality of work submitted by the artist.

BeCraft
BeCraft is a professional association valuing artists in the field of applied arts. The BeCraft Gallery showcases the production of Belgian designers (from the regions of Wallonia and Brussels) working in ceramics, glass, jewellery, paper, wood, textiles and object design. BeCraft’s mission is to promote, inform and train and is also open to national and international creators thanks to the triennial exhibitions it organizes.

CEARTE is a Vocational Training Centre and, since 1986, has worked in the sector of Arts and Crafts, heritage, creative industries, and small companies, to promote employment, skills acquisition, professional evolution, innovation for artisanal production units and the valuation of territories, and, in general, the accomplishments of the Portuguese.

The Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion consolidates, in a specialized entity, the management of policies regarding the promotion of the commerce, crafts and fashion of Catalonia. Entrusted to the Department of Business and Employment, with the general aim of promoting craftsmanship, commercialisation and support for Catalan fashion, CCAM promotes both the quality and the competitiveness of these sectors, nationally and internationally.

Consortium of Craft Centres of Slovenia
The Consortium of Craft Centres of Slovenia brings together 10 craft centres across the country. Its mission of the is to connect, coordinate, and represent craft centres, ensuring the preservation, development, and visibility of handicrafts while improving working conditions and quality for craft centres and craftspeople in Slovenia. Active since 2014, the Consortium is a key actor in the support environment for safeguarding and developing handicrafts. It also leads major initiatives such as the Slovenian Handicraft Festival.

Cyprus Handicraft Service
The Cyprus Handicrafts Service is located on Athalassa Avenue in Nicosia and houses several workshops in the fields of embroidery, weaving, woodwork, pottery, metalwork, general handicrafts, leatherwork and costume making. Locals and tourists alike visit the workshops daily. A large gift shop is in operation on the premises as well as two in other cities. Courses in various crafts and specific techniques are offered for members of the public wishing either to receive an introduction to a skill or to improve on an existing one.

Danish Crafts & Design Association (DKoD) is a national organization for professional designers and craftspeople. Their aim is to support high quality practice, professional collaborations and networking. De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg
The association aims to support and promote Luxembourgish craftsmanship. One way of doing this is in the organisation of the Fine Contemporary Craft Biennial initiated in 2016 by HRH Princess Stephanie. It exhibits Luxembourgish creators and builds bridges with European countries. The association also develops a cross-border programme of exhibitions. Committed to encourage and preserve the transmission of artisanal know-how, the association delivers scholarships for excellence.

Fundesarte has been, since 1981, the leading institution for the promotion and development of Spanish craft enterprises, working as part of the EOI Foundation (School for Industrial Organisation), an entity attached to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism. A priority of its programme is to value, communicate and promote the quality of craft products and the sustainability of their production processes.

European Craft Organization
Founded in 1972, the European Craft Organization (formerly the European Folk Art and Craft Federation) is a network of European craft associations. Its mission is to promote and develop crafts as both traditional and modern expressions of living traditions, while facilitating knowledge exchange among its members. For over 50 years, the organization has encouraged international collaboration through regular conferences, exhibitions, and digital engagement. The network currently consists of 12 non-commercial associations representing 11 countries: Austria, Estonia, Finland, Hungary (2), Iceland, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania (Transylvania region), Slovakia, and Sweden. Notably, several member organizations hold UNESCO accreditation for their work in safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).

Fondo Plastico
FONDO PLASTICO is an entrepreneurial entity that enhances and promotes the authenticity and excellence of High Italian Craftsmanship, the cultural and artistic value of the companies it represents, the people involved and, consequently, the territory that hosts them. We do this through activities ranging from events, to training and consultancy, up to the development of projects dedicated to corporate tourism. Konstnärernas Riksorganisation
The Artists’ Association of Sweden represents more than 3,500 professional visual artists, craft artists, and designers in Sweden. The organization was founded in 1937 to represent Swedish visual artists in political issues concerning art and artists’ financial and social situations. Mad’ in Europe
European craftspeople in areas such as wood, metal, glass, ceramic, textile, stone crafts, music instruments and restoration are the guardians of European diversity, cultural heritage and know how. They are now facing problems in business because of their small visibility within marketplaces that offer cheaper and more accessible products. Mad’in Europe began its activity at the end of 2013 with an objective to bring sustainable and concrete support to these micro-businesses, through a variety of different actions. Népművészeti Egyesületek Szövetsége / NESZ
The Association of Hungarian Folk Artists, consisting of 65 Member Associations and nearly 4500 craftsmen, has a 42-year history of promoting traditional Hungarian folk crafts across the Carpathian Basin. It supports the preservation and transmission of Hungarian handicraft culture, providing professional advocacy, organising events, exhibitions, and the annual Festival of Folk Arts, which is inscribed on the National Register of Good Safeguarding Practices of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Norwegian Crafts’ principal aim is to strengthen the international position of contemporary crafts from Norway. Nów. New Craft Poland
Nów. New Craft Poland (Polish name: Nów. Nowe Rzemiosło) is an NGO that brings together a new generation of modern craftspeople from across Poland. Its members represent a wide range of disciplines—from ceramics, glass, and textiles to woodworking, metalwork, and lighting design. The organisation’s main goal is to promote contemporary Polish craft, both in Poland and internationally. It supports and represents craftspeople by fostering collaborations with cultural institutions, galleries, design studios, and public organizations. Nów. The Norwegian Association for Craft Artists (NK) is a membership organization working to promote and support contemporary crafts nationally and internationally. NK currently encompasses 830 practicing professional artists and makers. Oficio y arte, Organización de Artesanos de España (OAE)
Oficio y Arte, Organización de los Artesanos de España (OAE), Organization of Spanish Craftspeople, the organization that brings together the largest representation of professional associations of craftspeople and artistic professions at a local, regional or sectoral level throughout Spain. It has the recognition and consideration of all public administrations in the country with competence in crafts, and public or private entities related to this same sector can form part of the organisation as collaborating partners, as well as individual craftmakers. In total, it represents about 1,000 craft companies spread throughout the national territory. PLOIGOS
Founded in 1995 and based in Crete, Greece, PLOIGOS – Educational and Development Organization is a diverse network of local stakeholders, including municipal associations, artisans, and entrepreneurs, dedicated to fostering a new local economy. Operating as a national Lifelong Learning Centre, the organization implements cultural and environmental actions alongside specialized research focused on local traditions. A primary strategic priority for PLOIGOS is the elevation of Cretan handicrafts, which they support through dedicated regional funding and international cooperation to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship, social cohesion, and micro-entrepreneurship in the tourism sector.

The Swedish Crafts Centre
The Swedish Crafts Centre’s mission is to promote makers and their work. It works to strengthen the craft network and the maker’s role in cultural industries. The Swedish Crafts Centre has offices in four Swedish cities: Stockholm, Malmö, Göteborg and Luleå, and informs makers about business and learning opportunities, arranges workshops, seminars and other learning events for the craft artists and those involved in the craft field.

TransfoLAB BCN (Center for Trash Investigation), established in 2015, is a physical space for Barcelona’s creative ecosystem focused on waste, the circular economy, and environmental sustainability. Its primary mission is to foster design and innovation by connecting a diverse community of makers, designers, artists, and students with the general public, an effort which helps create job opportunities and promotes local commerce. The organization offers resources and project support throughout the entire lifecycle, from conception and manufacturing to promotion. Furthermore, TransfoLAB BCN is dedicated to public education and awareness, building a network of creators and researchers to strengthen the culture of sustainability and create future collaborations.

WhyWeCraft® Association
WhyWeCraft® Association (Asociația WhyWeCraft®) advances cultural sustainability in craft and fashion through legal innovation, advocacy, and education. As a Cultural Intellectual Property Rights Initiative® (CIPRI) licensee, it strengthens Romania’s craft ecosystem by delivering specialized legal expertise to traditional knowledge custodians, craft practitioners, and creative professionals. Its interdisciplinary approach bridges conventional intellectual property tools, such as trademarks and Geographical Indications (GIs), with cultural governance based on the 3C Rule: Consent. Credit.
