The 2026 Fab City Awards are open for initiatives that blend craft, design, technology, and civic engagement to build regenerative urban futures.
The awards recognise piloted and implemented initiatives that successfully unite design, technology, and civic participation to build resilient communities. Whether you operate a regional makerspace, lead a community-driven design project, or work at the intersection of traditional know-how and sustainable technology, this platform offers a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate how local production can drive global systemic change.
Winning projects across the core categories of Community, Technology, and Nature will receive seed funding, specialist mentoring, and an invitation to showcase their work at the FAB26 Summit in Boston this July. We are exceptionally proud to share that Rachel Kelly will represent the European Crafts Alliance on this year’s international jury, evaluating submissions alongside experts from across the global maker ecosystem.
Applications from individuals, collectives, and organisations are welcome until 10 May 2026.
