We are excited to announce that the next Knowledge Exchange Programme is scheduled for early spring 2025!
This programme is designed for members of the European Crafts Alliance (ECA) to connect, learn, and exchange expertise with peers across the craft sector. Participants will gain insights and skills to share and implement in their own contexts.
Each Knowledge Exchange Programme focuses on a specific theme addressing the challenges and opportunities in the craft sector – from exploring and learning from craft practices in a specific region, building connections with professionals across Europe, or gaining practical knowledge to bring back to your organisation.
Here are the themes and locations from past Knowledge Exchange Programmes:
• Dublin, Ireland (8–10 Feb, 2023): New Competences for the Future Craftspeople – Co-hosted by the Creative Futures Academy.
• Granada, Spain (15–17 Feb, 2023): Accreditation of Competencies at the National Reference Centre for Crafts – Co-hosted by the National Reference Centre for Crafts.
• Stockholm, Sweden (Oct 2023): Curatorial Competencies – Held during Stockholm Crafts Week, co-hosted by Konsthantverkscentrum (The Swedish Crafts Centre).
• Rotterdam, Netherlands (6–8 Nov, 2023): Craft Skills & Education for Youth – Co-hosted by Crafts Council Nederland.
The details – including the location and theme – will be announced soon. But expect the same high level of engagement and collaboration that past participants have noted.
Stay tuned for updates coming soon!
