The European Crafts Alliance
The European Crafts Alliance is an established network with 43 member organisations from 23 European countries.
Our passion is making, and our ethos is firmly rooted in sustainability. Members of our network have unique cultural voices and a distinct heritage influenced by time and place.
Our core members represent a significant community of craft enterprises across Europe. Innovation happens when we bring our members together to co-create, to learn, to share skills and talents.
ECA is a non-profit network organisation that promotes knowledge sharing, growth, preservation and valorisation of crafts.
Working in collaboration with our member craft organisations from across the European continent, ECA implements a spectrum of events, projects and programmes which highlight our mission to elevate awareness of crafts as an integral part of society’s cultural, social and economic wellbeing.
Furthermore, ECA advocates for crafts and craftspeople through partnerships in international cooperation programmes; while spreading information across a large network of member entities and engaging with policy at international, official, political and administrative levels.
Recognising that crafts are everywhere, is key to our work: in education, economy, culture, heritage, sustainable development and beyond, crafts are visible and play a vital role in the human story.
The organisation is overseen by a board of directors and managed by an international team, all passionately dedicated to the continued upliftment of the vibrant European crafts sector.
