LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize 2025 Finalist Agnes Husz
The LOEWE FOUNDATION has revealed the 30 finalists for the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2025. The finalists were selected over 4,600 submissions by artisans across 133 countries.
They bring a fresh perspective to traditional craftsmanship; many finalists have reimagined ancient techniques, such as transforming basketry into clay sculptures or weaving on looms with metal, while others fuse time-honoured motifs with new materials. The selected works utilise diverse mediums, including ceramics, wood, textiles, glass, and metal, demonstrating exceptional skill, innovation, and artistic vision.
The selected works will be showcased at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, Spain from 30 May to 29 June 2025. The winner, selected by a panel of 13 experts, will receive 50.000€, and will be announced on 29 May 2025 at the opening of the exhibition opening.
The annual Craft Prize was launched by the LOEWE FOUNDATION in 2016 and conceived by LOEWE creative director Jonathan Anderson to celebrate excellence, artistic merit, and innovation in modern craftsmanship.
