The Michelangelo Foundation has announced a new traveling exhibition series, Homo Faber Capsule, with its first edition, INTERWOVEN, set to open in Seville, Spain, this autumn. The exhibition will take place from 22 October to 23 November 2025 at the historic Real Fábrica de Artillería. This new series aims to spotlight the talents featured in the online Homo Faber Guide.

Inspired by Seville’s rich cultural and textile history, the theme INTERWOVEN celebrates the interconnected nature of craftsmanship. The exhibition will feature 35 works by artisans from 15 countries, selected from over 800 submissions by a distinguished international jury. The chosen pieces explore connections in unique ways—blending materials, weaving together cultural traditions, or finding innovative uses for traditional techniques.

Highlights include a porcelain sculpture by Bernardita Cossio cast from a stitched leather mould, a multimedia sculpture by Nati Rodríguez created from post-consumer denim waste, and a handwoven carpet by Brodeuse Voyageuse that connects Moroccan wool with French silk.

While Homo Faber Biennial, the flagship celebration of international craftsmanship, always takes place in Venice (next edition September 2026), each edition of Homo Faber Capsule will be held in a different city around the world, with a theme inspired by that location. Held every two years, Homo Faber Capsule will highlight the work of selected creative artisans chosen by jury following an open call to all the artisans profiled on Homo Faber Guide.
