This April, the results of the 2025 to 2026 Homo Faber Fellowship will be presented at Milan Design Week from 21 to 26 April. Titled Today’s Masters Meet Tomorrow’s Talents, the exhibition brings together the work of 22 master and fellow duos and will be shown at Casa degli Artisti.

The fellowship unfolds as a shared learning journey. It began with a masterclass in Seville and continued through workshops held across seven European countries. Over six months, masters and fellows worked closely together, exchanging skills, ideas and ways of working. The exhibition presents the final objects developed through this process, each shaped by dialogue between generations and time spent at the workbench.

Guided by Art Director Giampiero Bodino, participants were invited to explore two central ideas: the inherent beauty of craftsmanship and the role of light. The resulting works reflect a wide range of techniques. They include lutherie, millinery, textile experimentation and boat building. Using materials such as paper, silver and ceramics, each duo translated their collaboration into a finished piece that brings together experience and fresh perspective.

The exhibition forms part of the wider Arts & Crafts & Design collective presentation at Milan Design Week. It sits alongside exhibitions by the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, Serapian and Creative Academy, creating a shared destination for contemporary craft in Milan.

Homo Faber, a member of the European Crafts Alliance, continues to support learning, exchange and collaboration across borders. Exhibition entry is free upon registration.
