European Artistic Crafts Days 2025

ECA Programme of Events

31 March – 6 April 2025, all over Europe & online

The 19th edition’s theme, “The Golden Thread” celebrate the connections between craftspeople and their local communities, how crafts combine tradition with innovation, helping to strengthen regional identity and encourage collaborations, as well as connect the past with the present.

Visit over 50 events supported by grants across 23 countries, that were awarded the European Crafts Alliance grants ranging from family workshops, live demonstrations, seminars and exhibitions. Take part in workshops in glass blowing, weaving, marquetry, hippomobility; explore exhibitions showcasing jewellery, textiles, ceramics and more – discover the European cultural heritage and artistic innovation!

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe.

In two previous editions of the EACD, the European Crafts Alliance, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. As part of this year’s open call for grants, ECA received 126 applications from 28 countries across Europe. 40 organisers from 22 countries were selected to receive financial support for their EACD events. Additionally, members of ECA were granted members’ funding to organise events in their own countries.

This was made possible via the Crafting project, co-funded by the European Union.
