The EUIPO is hosting a public webinar on 25 November 2025 at 10.00 CET.
The webinar will explore the new Geographical Indications (GIs) for craft and industrial products. This regulation establishes the first EU-wide protection for the names of products such as glass, textiles, jewellery, and cutlery, which previously had no such mechanism.
Speakers will include legal and operational experts from the EUIPO‘s Legal Affairs and Business Operations departments.
The event is scheduled just before the regulation comes into full force on 1 December 2025. This is also the first day that applications for the GI permanent protection can be submitted.
