As part of the event, a series of workshops will be held to promote Kütahya’s arts and crafts, recognized as a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art in 2017. The workshops will take place at the Crafts and Folk Art Experiencing Mansion within Kütahya Municipality.
On the first day, participants will shape ceramic clay on a wheel and paint ceramic biscuits. The second day will feature knitting with rope and crochet, and the third day will focus on making felt accessories.
These workshops offer children the chance to explore the city’s craft heritage, using their creativity and skills. By creating their own pieces with master craftsmen, they will better understand Kütahya’s cultural industries and contribute to the city’s artistic legacy.

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe. Over the course of two years, the European Crafts Alliance, via the Crafting project co-funded by the European Union, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. The events listed above are supported by ECA grants in 2025.
