Marquetry Design – Craft workshop for the production of wood marquetry

The event will introduce the young participants to the magic of wood and marquetry, teaching them about its role in traditional craftsmanship. Children will engage directly with wood seedlings, which they will later plant in Temerin to support reforestation and preserve valuable natural resources. The program includes a workshop on marquetry techniques adapted for children, as well as an exhibition showcasing furniture, interior, and souvenir items created with this craft.

Polyhedra is a multidisciplinary studio with access to 3D printing, leather crafting, laser cutting, sculpting, painting, and ceramics. Polyhedra gathers specialists from different creative and technical fields, providing support for various projects. This space not only provides equipment for crafting but also a variety of courses, such as leather crafting, 3D printing, polymer clay, ceramics, and electronics. As part of EACD 2025, Polyhedra will open its workshop doors to visitors, inviting them to explore the diverse techniques, materials, and more.

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe. Over the course of two years, the European Crafts Alliance, via the Crafting project co-funded by the European Union, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. The events listed above are supported by ECA grants in 2025.
