European Artistic Crafts Days 2025 in Malta
An Array of Events
31 March – 6 April 2025 │all over Malta
The Malta Crafts Foundation has been organizing Malta’s participation in the European Artistic Crafts Days for two years, aiming to connect the public with local artisans and their crafts. This year’s theme, The Golden Thread, emphasizes the vital role of craftspeople in bridging tradition with innovation across various sectors. The event includes workshops and short courses, such as Maltese Filigree, Ceramics, Weaving, and Macrame, both at the Foundation’s premises and with local artisans in Malta and Gozo. These courses, ranging from single sessions to multiple ones, will run during the European Artistic Crafts Days 2025.
The Malta Crafts Foundation will also support craftspeople in organizing workshops at their own locations, building on last year’s interactive map. Additionally, they will sponsor workshops for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in woodworking and Macramé, helping them gain valuable skills for the future.

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe. Over the course of two years, the European Crafts Alliance, via the Crafting project co-funded by the European Union, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. The events listed above are supported by ECA grants in 2025.
