European Artistic Crafts Days 2025 in Italy
Array of Events
31 March – 6 April 2025, all over Italy
Artex, the national coordinator for the European Artistic Crafts Days, brings together craftspeople, organizations, and associations to promote crafts and cultural heritage throughout Italy. This year’s EACD theme focuses on exploring the connection between craftspeople and their territories. The EACD 2025 program in Italy will include open studios of Tuscan Master Artisans across the region, online craft dialogues on Facebook and YouTube, and practical workshops for both children and adults, aimed at fostering creativity and learning. Additionally, there will be a presentation of a book by art critic Jean Blanchaert on Murano glass masters.

FONDO PLASTICO
Roots | Craftsmanship Narrates the Territory
2-7 April 2025 | Venice
FONDO PLASTICO invites artisans, Masters of Art, and designers this year to share their connection with the territory (place, city, country) that hosts them. The material provided by craftspeople will be published on FP’s communication channels and can be used to create multimedia or digital media. The aim is to trace an itinerary and tell the story of Italy through the eyes (and hands) of Italian artisans and Masters of Art. The initiative is part of Radici | L’Artigianato Racconta il Territorio (Roots | Craftsmanship Narrates the Territory), a digital project dedicated to High Craftsmanship, a journey through stories, traditions, and craftsmanship. Through the stories and experiences of artisans and Masters of Art, we draw a living, authentic map of the Italian peninsula, where each creation is a reflection of the territory from which it originates.

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe. Over the course of two years, the European Crafts Alliance, via the Crafting project co-funded by the European Union, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. The events listed above are supported by ECA grants in 2025.
