European Artistic Crafts Days 2025 in Georgia
Array of Events
1-6 April 2025, all over Georgia
The Georgian Heritage Crafts Association (GHCA) has been a partner for the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) in Georgia since 2022, and each year, they aim to expand the event outside of Tbilisi. The EACD activities in Georgia are particularly significant as the country navigates a challenging political transition. The event includes a variety of workshops showcasing traditional Georgian crafts, such as wood carving, calligraphy, block printing, and wheel throwing, as well as contemporary art projects for children. Additionally, there are workshops on culinary crafts, leatherwork, and Cloisonné enamel. These activities help promote Georgia’s cultural heritage and connect it to broader European traditions.

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe. Over the course of two years, the European Crafts Alliance, via the Crafting project co-funded by the European Union, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. The events listed above are supported by ECA grants in 2025.
