children’s workshop
2 & 3 April 2025; 11.00 CET │ Muhameda Seida Serdarevića bb/Zenica

WIRED STORIES workshops focus on preserving traditional crafts like silversmithing and filigree jewellery, highlighting cultural and historical heritage. Children will create wire jewellery inspired by pieces from the Zenica City Museum’s ethnological exhibition, using age-appropriate tools and materials. The participants will also be guided through the ongoing exhibition Crafting New Heritage, which is a part of MADE IN platform, that celebrates the fusion of local heritage and traditions with contemporary design. Afterward, the children will curate a small exhibition showcasing their creations.

Initiated and coordinated since 2002 by l’Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) have evolved from a French event into a week-long celebration of crafts and craftspeople across Europe. Over the course of two years, the European Crafts Alliance, via the Crafting project co-funded by the European Union, has provided financial and organisational support to over 100 events across Europe. The events listed above are supported by ECA grants in 2025.
