The annual Creative Skills Week 2025 will take place from 22-26 September 2025. The series of panel discussions, workshops, conference, and more will bring together professionals from across Europe’s cultural and creative industries in Prague and online. The event promises to be a key platform for addressing the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities.
This year’s theme, Create. Transform. Regenerate., will address topics ranging from digital and green transitions to the impact of AI and the future of lifelong learning. The week-long programme is designed for educators, policymakers, sector leaders, and artists to collaborate on building a more resilient and future-ready creative ecosystem.
A key highlight for the craft sector will be the panel discussion on Thursday, 25 September, as part of the Creative Skills Conference, The Future of Craft: From Tradition to Innovation. The panel will feature an array of experts, including Laura Miguel Baumann, Secretary General of the European Crafts Alliance. Speakers will analyse the significant transformations currently taking place in European craft, explore the growing market for artisanal products, the influence of technological innovation, and the continuous challenges related to skill gaps and training. The panel discussion is organised by EIT Culture & Creativity with Aarhus University, CRAFT-IT4SD, Craftwork 4.0, CUBE, Creative Futures Academy, European Crafts Alliance, Materahub, MOSAIC.
Creative Skills Week 2025 is co-organised with EIT Culture & Creativity, the Creative Pact for Skills, SACCORD (Erasmus+ Forward-Looking Project Scheme co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Programme), and CYANOTYPES (Alliances for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Programme). CSW2025 is led by ELIA and Creative Prague.
