The EIT Community New European Bauhaus has launched 2027 Open Call, offering two complementary funding tracks for organisations creating more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful places across Europe.

The initiative is designed to support local ideas and neighbourhood transformations. Whether testing new community-led approaches or delivering public space transformations in partnership with public authorities, the call provides an opportunity for local actors to bring the New European Bauhaus values to life. Previous knowledge of the initiative is not required. Selected projects will receive support to better understand and integrate these approaches into their work.

The call is divided into two funding streams:

Connect NEB

The track supports community-led initiatives that wish to test new ideas, activate local communities and experiment with participatory approaches or living labs. It is open for community organisations, citizen-led initiatives, NGOs, artists, designers and social innovators.

  • Grant funding: Up to 15,300€ (Total project budget: 18,000€)
  • Structure: Single beneficiary

Co-create NEB

This track supports partnerships between communities, municipalities and other local actors to deliver visible, place-based transformations in public spaces. It is open for municipalities, public authorities, multi-sector partnerships and NGOs.

  • Grant funding: Up to 49,300€ (Total project budget: 58,000€)
  • Structure: Consortium of two to four partners, including at least one municipality, region or affiliated entity

The successful applicants will also join the wider EIT Community ecosystem. Selected projects will take part in capacity-building workshops, peer learning with other European projects, as well as receive communication opportunities and ongoing support from the programme team.

An online information session will be held on 3 September 2026. Applications must be submitted by 30 September 2026 at 17:00 CEST.
