This June, the city of Málaga will host Culture and Museums International Tech Forum, a leading international forum exploring how innovation and technology are shaping the cultural sector. Ahead of the gathering on 22–23 June 2026, two open calls have been announced, highlighting opportunities for designers, makers, and emerging digital initiatives.
II Award for Innovative and Sustainable Design for Museum and Cultural Institution Shops
This call celebrates the work of artisans, illustrators, and designers developing engaging products for museum shops and cultural institutions. The selection committee is looking for prototypes that demonstrate originality, adaptability, and a strong commitment to sustainability and inclusive design.

IV Open Call for Start-ups CM Málaga
Aimed at early-stage initiatives, this call focuses on digital tools that enhance the museum experience. Eligible proposals include mobile applications, digital platforms, and technologies that improve accessibility and foster meaningful connections with diverse audiences.

Why participate?
Submitting a valid proposal includes a professional visitor pass to the forum. Three finalists in each category will be selected to present their work within the exhibition space, benefiting from dedicated visibility, networking opportunities, and promotional support. One overall winner per category will receive a cash prize of €500.
