The Michelangelo Foundation and Fondazione Giorgio Cini are inviting students and recent graduates to bring the Homo Faber 2026 exhibition to life. Deadline for applications: 1 March 2026

Established in 2018, the Homo Faber Young Ambassadors Programme offers a unique cultural experience. It is designed for enthusiastic communicators who wish to deepen their knowledge of the art and craft sector while building an international network of peers.

Selected participants will act as the face of the exhibition. They will guide visitors through the displays, explaining the stories behind the objects and the artisans who made them.

Who is this for?

This programme is open to students and recent graduates (aged 18 to 35) from the fields of craft, design, and business.

To be eligible, you must be a “people person” with a passion for transmission. As you will be interacting with an international public in Italy, language skills are essential. You must be fluent in English and have at least a conversational level of Italian (minimum A2).

The Experience

The journey begins with an online e-learning course in July, followed by a one-week onsite training in Venice in mid-August. From late August until 1 October 2026, ambassadors will live in Venice and work at the exhibition.

Support and Grant

The programme covers:

  • Return travel to Venice.
  • Accommodation for the duration of the programme.
  • Lunches during exhibition hours.
  • A grant of €1,700 to cover dinner and local transport expenses.
Key Dates
  • Deadline: 1 March 2026 (23:59 CET)
