The Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria has opened calls for applications for two international exhibitions: Schmuck and Talents: Masters of the Future. Both events will take place during the International Crafts Fair in Munich from 10 to 14 March 2027.
Schmuck
Founded in 1959, Schmuck is the oldest exhibition of contemporary jewellery in the world. Participants selected for the exhibition are also considered for the Herbert Hofmann Prize, which has been awarded since 1973 and is sponsored by the Danner Foundation.
Deadline: 31 October 2026
Talente: Masters of the Future
Established in 1980, Talents is an international competition covering all disciplines of design and craftsmanship. It is open to early-career practitioners who are within two years of completing their formal training or studies. Makers may only participate in this exhibition once.
Deadline: 19 October 2026
SCHMUCK München Directory
In addition to the main exhibitions, the Chamber of Crafts compiles SCHMUCK München, a free print and digital directory listing all independent contemporary jewellery events taking place across the city during the fair. Submissions for the directory are also currently open.
